Director of Drayage Operations:
Direct Traffic Solutions is seeking a Director of Drayage Operations to lead and scale our drayage division, driving operational excellence and delivering world-class service across our logistics network.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing, distributed operations team.
- Oversee drayage operations, ensuring on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and high customer satisfaction.
- Drive business development and revenue growth within the drayage segment.
- Build and manage relationships with key clients, ports, carriers, and freight partners.
- Lead pricing strategy, rate negotiations, and capacity planning to maximize margins.
- Oversee drayage operations to ensure on-time delivery, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Identify new market opportunities and expand the company’s drayage footprint.
- Monitor KPIs, pipeline performance, and profitability metrics.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to align customer acquisition and execution.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in drayage sales, carrier sales, or logistics business development.
- Proven track record in revenue generation and client relationship management.
- Experience negotiating rates and managing carrier networks.
- Operational knowledge of ports, containers, and drayage logistics.
- Strategic mindset with ability to scale operations and sales simultaneously.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in drayage, logistics sales, or operations leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.
