Director of Drayage Operations:

Direct Traffic Solutions is seeking a Director of Drayage Operations to lead and scale our drayage division, driving operational excellence and delivering world-class service across our logistics network.

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing, distributed operations team.
• Oversee drayage operations, ensuring on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and high customer satisfaction.
• Design and optimize operational processes, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Manage carrier relationships, negotiate rates, and ensure capacity across ports and terminals.
• Monitor cost-to-serve and drive continuous improvement in efficiency and scalability.
• Oversee import flows, including detention/demurrage mitigation and last free days.
• Collaborate with warehouses, terminals, and customers to ensure service excellence.
• Establish a strong culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong leadership experience managing operations teams in logistics or supply chain.
• Proven ability to scale operations while maintaining service quality and efficiency.
• Experience working with drayage, ports, carriers, and freight forwarding partners.
• Data-driven mindset with experience managing KPIs and performance metrics.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in logistics, drayage, or supply chain operations leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
• Experience managing carrier relationships and negotiating rates.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Ability to work onsite in Franklin, Tennessee.
